Alterations & Improvements

As a tenant, you have a right to make improvements to your home. However, this must only be carried out once we have granted permission. An alteration is anything which is an addition or change to the property or its gas, electrical or water supply.

You should complete a 'Request for Alteration' form and return it to the office or download here. We will reply to your request within 28 days and will not withhold permission unreasonably.

Examples of common requests:

• Fit different light fittings;
• Install a shower;
• Add or move an electric point;
• Erect a garden shed;
• Erect fencing or alter existing
